The magazines I read monthly, and I know Linux Magazine has a digital subscription version (goes great with the netbook in the WC). My current favorites are: 1. Signaling System #7 by Travis Russell. GREAT book, very much in depth, covers the whole field of the signaling protocol that lets the world talk to each other. 2. VoIP Handbook, Applications Technologies Reliability and Security. Very large in scope but also goes into the details. 3. Advanced MPLS Design and Implementation by Vivek Alwayn. For when I want to reminisce. This will change soon, as I have a short attention span :-) Nice listing.

Since i’m not really a Linux admin, I can’t say they are my bread and butter, but I know most of them.
